Before the picks: Tesla's own owner's manual advises against applying a screen protector to the touchscreen, citing unintended inputs, delayed or unresponsive touch behavior and electrostatic discharge, and states that damage caused by installing one is not covered by the vehicle warranty. That is not our opinion and it is not a disclaimer we are required to print — it is the manufacturer's position and it belongs at the top of the page. If you have not read the full warranty picture, read that first.
If you still want one, the Juniper is the hardest car in the range to buy for, because Tesla fits two different center displays depending on trim. RWD and AWD cars have a 15.4-inch display. Premium and Performance have a 16-inch panel at 2560 x 1440, a 16:9 aspect ratio instead of 16:10, and an 8-inch rear screen the 15.4-inch cars do not get.

Scores are our editorial assessment of fitment scope, published materials and coverage. They are not lab measurements and we have not tested these products.

1. Best for the 16-inch display
QHD 16-inch tempered glass with rear screen cover
One of very few parts that explicitly addresses the 16-inch 2560 x 1440 panel fitted to Premium and Performance, and it bundles the 8-inch rear screen cover those trims also have. A newer brand than the Tesla specialists, and completely wrong for an RWD or AWD car.
Best for: 2026 Model Y Premium and Performance, where 15.4-inch parts do not fit
Fits: Model Y Juniper (2025-2026) · Model Y L (2026+, six-seat)
What works
- One of the few parts that explicitly addresses the 16-inch panel instead of pretending every Juniper is 15.4-inch
- Bundling the rear cover matches the trims that actually have a rear screen
What does not
- A newer, less-established brand than the Tesla specialists
- If you have an RWD or AWD Juniper this is the wrong part entirely
Manufacturer specifications
- Cut for the 16-inch 2560 x 1440 display fitted to Model Y Premium and Performance
- Includes an 8-inch rear screen cover
- 9H tempered glass; sold in single and two-pack listings

2. Best for the 15.4-inch display
REEVAA 15.4-inch matte anti-glare tempered glass
Matte anti-glare 9H glass with an alignment frame, which is the difference between a clean first attempt and a bubbled mess. Matte costs some map sharpness, and it will not fit the 16-inch Premium or Performance display.
Best for: Highland and Juniper owners who want glare gone, not just scratches prevented
Fits: Model 3 Highland (2024-2026) · Model Y Juniper (2025-2026)
What works
- The alignment frame is the difference between a clean first attempt and a bubbled mess
- Matte finish genuinely reduces the daytime reflections the glossy panel suffers from
- 15.4-inch cut is stated explicitly rather than left to a model-year guess
What does not
- Matte scatters light, so colors and map detail lose a little crispness
- Does not fit the 16-inch Premium or Performance display — a common and expensive mistake
Manufacturer specifications
- 9H tempered glass, matte anti-glare finish with an anti-fingerprint coating
- 15.4-inch cut, listed for 2024-2026 Model 3 Highland and the 15.4-inch Juniper display
- Supplied with an alignment frame
Specifications as published by the manufacturer. We have not independently tested this product.

3. Best if you are unsure
Yeslak tempered glass for 15.4-inch and 16-inch displays
One product page offering both sizes as selectable variants, which forces the size decision to the front of the purchase instead of hiding it. You still have to know your display size — the picker cannot tell you.
Best for: Owners who are not yet certain which display their car has
Fits: Model Y Juniper (2025-2026) · Model 3 Highland (2024-2026) · Model Y L (2026+, six-seat)
What works
- Selecting the size on one page is less error-prone than hunting for two separate listings
- Yeslak's Tesla catalog is organized by generation throughout
What does not
- You still have to know your display size — the variant picker cannot tell you
- No alignment frame mentioned
Manufacturer specifications
- One product page covering both the 15.4-inch and 16-inch displays as selectable variants
- Tempered glass
- Listed for the newer Model 3 and Model Y
Specifications as published by the manufacturer. We have not independently tested this product.

4. Most careful about fitment
JOWUA tempered glass screen protector (2026 Model Y)
JOWUA's catalog is the strictest per-generation of any brand in this niche, which is exactly what you want when displays vary by trim. Sold direct, so no next-day marketplace delivery, and a narrower finish choice.
Best for: Owners who already trust JOWUA's fitment on shades
Fits: Model Y Juniper (2025-2026)
What works
- JOWUA's per-generation discipline is the most reliable in this niche, which is what you want when displays vary by trim
- Sold direct, with the fitment stated on the product page rather than buried in a variant list
What does not
- Direct-only, so no next-day marketplace delivery
- Narrower finish choice than the specialists
Manufacturer specifications
- Listed specifically against the 2026 Model Y
- Tempered glass
- From a brand whose catalog is organized strictly per generation
Specifications as published by the manufacturer. We have not independently tested this product.

5. If you read Tesla's warning and changed your mind
TOPABYTE screen edge protector frame
A bezel frame that protects the display surround and corners without applying anything over the touch layer, which sidesteps Tesla's stated concerns entirely. It does nothing about scratches or glare on the glass itself.
Best for: Owners who want the bezel protected without covering the glass
Fits: Model Y Juniper (2025-2026) · Model 3 Highland (2024-2026) · Model Y (2020-2024) · Model 3 (2017-2023)
What works
- Avoids Tesla's stated concerns entirely, because nothing is applied over the touch layer
- Protects the corner the display is most often knocked against
What does not
- Does nothing about scratches or glare on the glass itself
- Sold as part of a bundle, so you may be buying two pieces you did not want
Manufacturer specifications
- Frame that protects the display surround, not the touch surface
- Part of a three-piece console accessory set
- Listed as compatible with the 2026 Model Y Juniper
Specifications as published by the manufacturer. We have not independently tested this product.

How to confirm your display size
- Open your Tesla account and look at the order details for the car — the trim is named there.
- If you bought used, check the window sticker if you have it.
- Failing both, the 8-inch rear screen is the giveaway: if the back of your console has a screen, you have the 16-inch front display.
- Cross-check against the full table in screen sizes by generation.
Matte or clear
Matte reduces daylight reflections and hides fingerprints, at the cost of some crispness in map detail. Clear keeps the display looking factory-fresh and does nothing about glare. The 16-inch panel is a higher-resolution display than the 15.4-inch one, so a matte finish on it gives up more than it does on the smaller screen — if you paid for the QHD display, think twice before hazing it. Matte vs glossy has the full argument.
The honest recommendation
If glare is your problem, a matte protector solves it and is worth the risk you are accepting. If scratches are your worry, consider that this is a vertical display nobody rests anything against, in a car where the main contact is fingertips — the risk of a scratch is lower than on a phone, and the manufacturer has told you not to cover it. A bezel frame is the better answer in that case.
Questions people actually ask
What size is the Model Y Juniper screen?
15.4 inches on RWD and AWD. 16 inches at 2560 x 1440 on Premium and Performance, which also have an 8-inch rear screen. The model year does not determine which you have.
Will a 15.4-inch protector fit a 16-inch display?
No. It leaves bare glass along one edge and can sit over the bezel at the opposite side. The aspect ratio differs too — 16:10 against 16:9.
Does fitting a protector void my warranty?
Not the whole vehicle warranty, but Tesla's manual is explicit that damage caused by installing a screen protector is not covered, and it advises against fitting one at all.
Do all Junipers have a rear screen?
No. The rear screen comes with the Premium and Performance trims that also have the 16-inch front display. RWD and AWD cars do not have one.
