Model Y L (2026+, six-seat)

Model Y L Floor Mats: What Actually Fits (2026)

A short page on purpose. The Model Y L aftermarket is thin, and writing five roundups about it would mean inventing products.

Fitment: Model Y L (2026+, six-seat) · Full Model Y L fitment guide

Rear three-quarter view of a white Tesla Model Y in a plain indoor showroom

The Model Y L is a stretched, six-seat Model Y: longer wheelbase, second-row captain's chairs, a third row. It was introduced in China in June 2025 and reached the United States in July 2026. Because the floor plan, the cargo floor and the seat-back surfaces are all unique to it, a five-seat Model Y mat set is not a near miss — it is the wrong part.

This page is short because the honest answer is short. Two products are worth your attention and the rest of the category has not caught up yet. We could pad this out with five-seat Juniper sets and a sentence about trimming them to fit, and we are not going to.

1. The one credible set

JOWUA all-weather floor liners for Model Y L

JOWUA

Listed specifically for the 2026+ six-seat Model Y L, covering the second-row captain's-chair footwells that a five-seat set cannot. Third-row coverage is the weak point of every Model Y L set currently on sale, this one included.

Best for: The six-seat Model Y L, where almost nothing else is listed yet

Overall8.0/ 10 — our editorial score, not a lab test

What works

  • One of very few parts genuinely tooled for the Model Y L rather than adapted from the five-seat car
  • Covers the second-row captain's-chair footwells, which a standard Model Y set does not

What does not

  • Third-row coverage is the weak point of every Model Y L set currently on sale, including this one
  • Very little independent fit reporting exists yet for this body

Manufacturer specifications

  • Listed specifically for the 2026+ six-seat Model Y L
  • All-weather liner set covering the longer floor plan
  • Sold alongside a Model Y L glass-roof sunshade in the same collection

Specifications as published by the manufacturer. We have not independently tested this product.

Tesla

If Tesla lists liners against your Model Y L's configuration, that removes the fitment question entirely — which is worth more than usual on a body this new. Containment is modest.

Best for: Owners who want guaranteed fitment and do not want to research it

What works

  • Fitment is not a judgment call — Tesla lists the car it fits
  • Retention hooks line up with the factory anchors, so the mat cannot creep toward the pedals

What does not

  • Perimeter walls are shallower than the aftermarket winter liners
  • Usually priced like a premium liner without the premium containment

Manufacturer specifications

  • Sold by Tesla against a specific VIN-eligible model and year
  • Molded to the factory footwell with factory retention points
  • Available for both Model 3 and Model Y generations

Specifications as published by the manufacturer. We have not independently tested this product.

What is still missing

  • Third-row footwell coverage. Every set currently listed treats the third row as an afterthought.
  • A cargo liner shaped to the Model Y L's load floor with the third row folded.
  • Independent fit reporting. This body is months old in the US market, so there is very little to cross-check against.

We will expand this into a full roundup when there are genuinely several sets to compare. In the meantime, the Model Y L fitment page collects everything that is confirmed to fit this car across all six categories, and the seven-seat accessories guide covers the multi-row questions that apply to both the Model Y L and seven-seat 2020-2024 cars.

Do not buy a five-seat kit and trim it

It comes up in owner forums and it is a bad idea. A trimmed liner has a cut edge instead of a molded lip, which means it no longer contains water, and on the driver's side a trimmed mat can move. If nothing fits yet, use the factory carpeted mats and wait.

Questions people actually ask

Will Juniper floor mats fit a Model Y L?

No. The Model Y L has a longer wheelbase, captain's chairs in the second row and a third row. The floor plan is different throughout.

Why is there so little available?

The car only reached the US market in July 2026. Tooling a molded liner takes months and brands prioritize volume models. Expect the selection to improve through 2027.

Is the Model Y L a seven-seater?

No, it is a six-seater — two front seats, two second-row captain's chairs and a two-seat third row. That is different from the seven-seat 2020-2024 Model Y, which had a bench in the second row.
