Fitment: Model Y (2020-2024) · Full Model Y 2020-2024 fitment guide

Car center console and digital display in a modern cabin

The 2020-2024 Model Y console is a different shape from the Juniper's, and the practical consequence is that this generation is slowly being deprioritized. Parts still exist, but the listings lead with the newer car and some brands have stopped tooling legacy variants altogether. A brand that still maintains a separate legacy collection is worth your business for that reason alone.

1. Best overall

BASENOR console organizer for Model Y 2020-2024

BASENOR

A dedicated legacy collection rather than a Juniper part with a year dropdown, which is exactly what this generation needs as the market moves on. Fewer pieces are available than for the Juniper and the selection is shrinking.

Best for: Legacy Model Y owners, whose console is a different shape entirely

Fits: Model Y (2020-2024)

What works

  • Correct for the pre-refresh console, which the Juniper parts do not fit
  • Keeps the legacy car from being an afterthought as the market moves on

What does not

  • Fewer pieces available than the Juniper range, and the selection is shrinking
  • The 2021 interior update changed the console lid, so check which year the listing names

Manufacturer specifications

  • A dedicated legacy Model Y collection, separate from the Juniper parts
  • Tray and bin pieces shaped to the pre-2025 console
  • Drop-in fitment

2. Cheapest worthwhile fix

BASENOR under-screen console organizer tray

BASENOR

Listed across both Model Y generations, non-slip, no adhesive, and it stops the shelf below the display being a slide. Friction fit, so a heavy load in a hard corner can move it.

Best for: The dead space under the touchscreen

Fits: Model Y (2020-2024) · Model Y Juniper (2025-2026) · Model 3 (2017-2023) · Model 3 Highland (2024-2026)

What works

  • Turns a shelf that items slide straight off into a usable tray
  • No adhesive means no residue when you sell the car

What does not

  • A friction fit can shift if you load it heavily and corner hard
  • Single-purpose — it does nothing for the armrest bin or cup holders

Manufacturer specifications

  • Non-slip base, no adhesive required
  • Shaped to the shelf beneath the center display
  • Listed across Model Y and Model 3 fitments

BASENOR cup-holder insert

BASENOR

Fits across generations and solves the rattling-cup problem directly for very little money. It reduces the maximum cup diameter the well accepts.

Best for: Stopping cups from rattling and tipping

Fits: Model Y (2020-2024) · Model Y Juniper (2025-2026) · Model 3 (2017-2023) · Model 3 Highland (2024-2026)

What works

  • Tesla's cup wells are wide, and a narrow cup rattles in them constantly — this is the direct fix
  • Cheapest single accessory on this site that you will notice every day

What does not

  • Reduces the maximum cup diameter the well can take
  • Needs lifting out to clean properly after a spill

Manufacturer specifications

  • Insert mat shaped to the console cup-holder wells
  • Soft compound chosen to damp movement
  • Supplied as part of the four-piece set and separately

4. Best extra capacity

Yeslak under-seat storage box

Yeslak

The only accessory here that uses genuinely empty volume rather than subdividing an existing space. It costs rear-passenger foot room, and you must check it does not foul the under-seat vents on your layout.

Best for: Using the space under the front seats

Fits: Model Y (2020-2024) · Model Y Juniper (2025-2026)

What works

  • The only accessory that uses a genuinely empty volume rather than subdividing an existing one
  • Keeps items out of sight without filling the console

What does not

  • Reduces rear-passenger foot room under the seat
  • Can foul the under-seat air vents on some layouts, which is the thing to check before buying

Manufacturer specifications

  • Slides into the void beneath the front seats
  • Listed per Model Y generation
  • Rigid shell with a lid

The under-seat option on this generation

On a car that is a few years old, the under-seat box is a more interesting purchase than it is on a new one. You are less precious about the interior, the space genuinely is unused, and it is cheap. The two things to check are rear-passenger foot room and whether the box obstructs the rear-facing vents under the front seats, which matters more than people expect — see under-seat storage.

What not to buy for this car

  • Any Juniper four-piece set. The armrest and tray geometry differ.
  • Anything adhesive-backed. On a car you may sell soon, adhesive residue on console trim is a real negative.
  • A hard ABS tray, if rattle is already something you notice. Older cars have more trim movement, not less.

Questions people actually ask

Will a Juniper console set fit my 2022 Model Y?

No. The console was redesigned for the refresh. Buy from a legacy-specific listing.

Does the under-screen tray fit both generations?

Several are listed for both, because the shelf below the display did not change fundamentally. Confirm on the specific listing rather than assuming.

Are legacy parts getting harder to find?

Yes. The listings now lead with the Juniper and some brands have dropped legacy variants. If you want a specific piece for a 2020-2024 car, buying sooner is sensible.

Is an under-seat box worth the lost foot room?

If you rarely carry adults in the back, yes — it is real extra capacity. If you regularly do, no.
