Editorial policy

The standards this site holds to

Sourcing, corrections, review cadence, and the firewall between what we earn and what we recommend.

Last reviewed October 2, 2026

Frunk & Flow is written by Brijon M. and published by MadGrey LLC. There is one author, no pseudonyms and no invented editorial board. Every article, roundup, comparison and guide carries that byline, and the Person entity in each page's structured data names the same human — if a page says a person wrote it, the machine-readable version says so too.

The fitment-first standard

No product is recommended for a car unless the manufacturer lists it against that car's specific generation, year range or trim. “Fits Tesla Model Y” with no qualifier does not meet the standard and is treated as a mark against the product rather than a convenience. Where a part genuinely fits more than one generation we name them; where nothing suitable exists for a generation we say so plainly instead of substituting something close.

The sourcing standard

Every factual claim on this site has to meet one of these, and the hardest rule is the last one:

  • Vehicle specifications — screen sizes, frunk and trunk volumes, cup-holder dimensions, seat configurations — carry an inline citation to a named source, or an explicit “owner-measured” label naming the generation. There are no exceptions to this.
  • Generation year ranges are cited, because they are verifiable and were verified.
  • Tesla policy or warranty positions are quoted or closely paraphrased, attributed to the owner documentation, with the source linked.
  • Product materials and construction are attributed to the manufacturer's stated specification — “the manufacturer lists…” — and never asserted as something we independently confirmed.
  • Product fitment is attributed to the manufacturer's stated fitment, plus our own generation-compatibility note where the two need reconciling.
  • Owner-reported durability or behavior is labeled as owner-reported. It is never presented as a test result of ours.
  • First-hand experience appears only where it is genuinely true, marked on that specific page. There is no site-wide testing claim on this site, because there is no site-wide testing.
  • Prices, star ratings and review counts are never stated from memory or from a figure we wrote down weeks ago. Where live price data is unavailable, the button reads “Check price on Amazon” and means exactly that.

The reason the dimension rule is absolute: a wrong internal measurement makes a real person buy an organizer that does not fit their frunk. That is the failure that destroys trust irrecoverably in this category, and it is entirely preventable by refusing to publish a number we cannot attribute.

Corrections

Material errors are corrected in place, with a dated correction note at the foot of the page. We do not silently edit a factual claim and move on — a visible correction history is itself a trust signal, and it costs nothing to maintain. Typos and clarifications that do not change a fact are fixed without a note.

To report an error, email contact@frunkandflow.com or use the contact form. If you own the car in question, the build date from your driver's door jamb sticker is the single most useful detail you can include. Corrections from owners are read before anything else in the inbox.

Review cadence

Every page displays the date it was last reviewed, and the structured data's modified date is kept in sync with it. Beyond that: a pick found discontinued or out of stock is replaced within about a week; a change in Tesla's documented position propagates to every page it affects rather than only the one being edited; a new generation or refresh gets a fitment page and a roundup per category, plus “does not fit” notes added to the prior generation's pages; and every top pick is re-verified as still sold quarterly.

Independence from commission

This site earns affiliate commission and nothing else — no sponsored posts, no paid placements, no brand has ever paid to appear here or to move up a page. Commission rate is not one of the selection criteria and never has been. Where a cheaper product at a retailer that pays us less is the better buy, it is the pick; where the better option is a brand-direct or Tesla store that pays us nothing at all, we link it and label it as non-earning.

Every product on this site carries at least one stated downside. That is a hard rule, not an editorial habit: a page where six products are all excellent is a page that has stopped being useful to the person reading it.

Use of AI

Research tooling is used to gather and cross-check published specifications, catalog listings and owner discussion. Every factual claim that reaches a page is checked against a named source we link to, and no page is published on the strength of a model's recall. Where a claim could not be sourced, it is not on the site — which is why some pages say an answer is not publicly documented rather than offering one.
