Fitment: Model 3 Highland (2024-2026) · Full Model 3 Highland fitment guide

Car cabin with leather seats and the front footwell in frame

The Highland refresh changed more of the Model 3's interior than most people expect, including the footwell and the console surround. A pre-Highland mat set in a Highland tends to ride up at the driver's heel rather than sitting into the corner, and because the Highland deleted the stalks and moved several controls, owners often assume the floor was left alone. It was not.

The practical difficulty is that "Tesla Model 3 2017-2026" appears on a lot of listings, which cannot be true of a molded liner. Any product whose claimed fitment spans the Highland boundary is either a flat mat with no shaped edge, or the listing is wrong. Both are reasons to look elsewhere.

1. Best overall

3W full-coverage TPE liner kit

3W

3W lists this kit for the Highland as well as the Juniper, with separate part numbers rather than a shared mat. The dense TPE and the full-coverage approach are the reasons it wins; the seat-back pieces included in the kit are the weakest part of it.

Best for: Juniper owners who want the densest TPE and the widest coverage

Fit9.0

Cleanability8.5
Value8.5
Overall8.8/ 10 — our editorial score, not a lab test

What works

  • The broadest single-kit coverage we found for the Juniper, seat backs included
  • Came out ahead of both MAXpider and WeatherTech on fit in one independent Juniper comparison

What does not

  • A newer name than WeatherTech or MAXpider, so there is less long-run evidence of how the material ages
  • Seat-back pieces are a nice extra but are not as well finished as dedicated seat-back protectors

Manufacturer specifications

  • TPE throughout, described by the manufacturer as a higher-density compound than entry-level sets
  • Kit covers footwells, frunk, cargo floor, sub-trunk and seat backs
  • Separate part numbers per Model Y generation

2. Best for winter

WeatherTech FloorLiner

WeatherTech

WeatherTech's fitment catalog names the Highland years explicitly, and the tall walls do what they always do. Rigid, utilitarian, and the right answer if you drive on treated roads.

Best for: Snow-belt owners who want the deepest tray walls available

Fits: Model Y (2020-2024) · Model Y Juniper (2025-2026) · Model 3 (2017-2023) · Model 3 Highland (2024-2026)

Fit9.0
Coverage9.5
Material8.5
Cleanability9.0
Value7.0
Overall8.6/ 10 — our editorial score, not a lab test

What works

  • The tall perimeter wall is the most convincing containment in this category for slush and road salt
  • A long-standing fitment database means the year you own is usually explicitly listed, not implied

What does not

  • The rigid material is the least pleasant underfoot of the premium options and can creak on a cold morning
  • Finish is utilitarian — nobody buys these because they look good

Manufacturer specifications

  • High-density tri-extruded material with raised channel walls
  • Digitally measured per vehicle and per model year
  • US-manufactured; the company's own fitment lookup is by year, make and model

3. Lowest-risk buy

Tesla all-weather interior liners (factory)

Tesla

Tesla's own Highland liners remove the fitment question entirely. Shallower containment than the aftermarket winter liners, and priced like a premium part regardless.

Best for: Owners who want guaranteed fitment and do not want to research it

Fits: Model Y (2020-2024) · Model Y Juniper (2025-2026) · Model Y L (2026+, six-seat) · Model 3 (2017-2023) · Model 3 Highland (2024-2026)

Fit9.5
Coverage7.5
Material8.0
Cleanability8.5
Value6.5
Overall8.0/ 10 — our editorial score, not a lab test

What works

  • Fitment is not a judgment call — Tesla lists the car it fits
  • Retention hooks line up with the factory anchors, so the mat cannot creep toward the pedals

What does not

  • Perimeter walls are shallower than the aftermarket winter liners
  • Usually priced like a premium liner without the premium containment

Manufacturer specifications

  • Sold by Tesla against a specific VIN-eligible model and year
  • Molded to the factory footwell with factory retention points
  • Available for both Model 3 and Model Y generations

4. Best mid-price set

Tesloid TPE floor mat set

Tesloid

Listed per Model 3 generation, which is the whole point on this car. The shallower perimeter wall is the trade-off against the premium liners.

Best for: Owners who want a mid-price TPE set with per-generation part numbers

Fits: Model Y (2020-2024) · Model Y Juniper (2025-2026) · Model 3 (2017-2023) · Model 3 Highland (2024-2026)

Fit8.0
Coverage8.0
Material8.0
Cleanability8.5
Value8.5
Overall8.2/ 10 — our editorial score, not a lab test

What works

  • Catalog is organized by generation, which cuts the main risk in this category
  • Sits between the budget sets and the premium liners on price

What does not

  • Perimeter wall is shallower than WeatherTech's, so heavy slush can escape the mat
  • Smaller brand means fewer independent fit reports to cross-check

Manufacturer specifications

  • TPE mats listed separately per Model 3 and Model Y generation
  • No-drill, drop-in fitment
  • Sold as front, rear and cargo pieces

Specifications as published by the manufacturer. We have not independently tested this product.

5. Budget pick

Yeslak all-weather floor mats

Yeslak

Does the job cheaply with separate Highland and pre-Highland listings. Looser edges and thinner material than everything above it.

Best for: Budget full-car coverage where premium fit is not the priority

Fits: Model Y (2020-2024) · Model Y Juniper (2025-2026) · Model 3 (2017-2023) · Model 3 Highland (2024-2026)

Fit7.0
Coverage8.0
Material7.0
Cleanability8.0
Value9.5
Overall7.9/ 10 — our editorial score, not a lab test

What works

  • Among the cheapest ways to get a raised-edge mat under every foot
  • Yeslak publishes separate Juniper and legacy listings rather than one catch-all

What does not

  • Edge fit is visibly looser than the premium liners, especially around the driver's dead pedal
  • Thinner material, so it is more likely to curl at a corner over time

Manufacturer specifications

  • All-weather mats listed per Model Y and Model 3 generation
  • Textured surface with a raised edge
  • Sold individually and as multi-piece sets

Specifications as published by the manufacturer. We have not independently tested this product.

The Highland is a smaller job than a Model Y

A Model 3 has less floor area and a much smaller frunk than a Model Y, so the six-piece full-coverage kits that dominate the Juniper roundup make less sense here. Front and rear footwells plus the trunk floor covers essentially everything that gets dirty. Spend the difference on the parts of a Highland that genuinely benefit — the console organizer set is the accessory Highland owners mention most.

Use these rather than the model year — a car delivered in early 2024 could be either, depending on build date and market.

Questions people actually ask

Will 2021 Model 3 mats fit a Highland?

No. The Highland footwell is a different shape and a pre-Highland liner will not seat into the corners. Buy from a listing that names 2024 onward.

Does the Highland come with floor mats?

It is delivered with carpeted mats. All-weather liners are a separate purchase, as on every Tesla.

Is a full-coverage kit worth it on a Model 3?

Less so than on a Model Y. The Model 3's frunk is shallow and its trunk is small, so footwells plus a trunk mat covers most of the real exposure.

How do I know whether I have a Highland?

Look at the steering column. No indicator stalk means Highland. The 8-inch rear screen and the ambient light strip around the cabin are the other giveaways.
