Affiliate disclosure
How this site makes money
Commission on qualifying purchases, and nothing else. Here is the whole arrangement in plain language.
Frunk & Flow earns a commission when you buy a product through a link on this site. It costs you nothing extra, and it does not change what we recommend. That is the short version. The rest of this page is the detail, because a disclosure that only exists in small print is not really a disclosure.
Which programs
Frunk & Flow is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
Amazon is the only program this site currently earns from. MadGrey LLC has not joined an affiliate program with any Tesla accessory brand, so there is no brand-direct tracking anywhere on this site. If that changes, this page changes with it.
How the links work
Product links on this site pass through a redirect at /go/ before reaching the retailer. That exists for two boring reasons: it keeps the affiliate tag in one configuration file rather than scattered across a hundred pages, and it means a destination can be corrected site-wide when a retailer changes a URL. It sets no cookie of its own, it is excluded from search indexing, and it sends you to the retailer's page and nothing else.
Earning links are marked rel="sponsored nofollow" in the page source, per Google's link policy, and carry a visible #ad label next to them. Links that earn us nothing are not marked as sponsored, because they are not.
The links we earn nothing from
Some of the best answers on this site are products we cannot make money on, and we link them anyway with a note saying so. At the moment that includes:
- Tesla Shop — We do not earn a commission on Tesla's own store.
- JOWUA — Brand-direct reference link. We do not earn a commission there.
- BASENOR — Brand-direct reference link. We do not earn a commission there.
- WeatherTech — Brand-direct reference link. We do not earn a commission there.
Tesla's own store is the clearest case. For some parts it is genuinely the lowest-risk buy, because Tesla sells against your specific vehicle and fitment stops being a judgment call. We say so on those pages even though the click is worth nothing to us.
Why there is often no price on the page
Live price data is not switched on for this site yet, so no price appears anywhere on it. Every buy button reads “Check price on Amazon” and sends you to the listing to see what the product costs right now. We would rather do that than print a figure we wrote down weeks ago: a stale price is a number you might act on that is no longer true. When live data is enabled, prices will appear with the date they were checked, and anything older than 48 hours will disappear automatically.
For the same reason you will not find star ratings or review counts on this site. Those numbers move, and a snapshot of them presented as current is a small lie that accumulates.
What commission does not influence
- The order of any page. Commission rate is not one of the selection criteria and never has been.
- Which products appear. No brand has paid to be on this site, and none has ever been offered the chance.
- What a review says. Every product here carries at least one stated downside, including the top picks.
- Which retailer gets the primary button. Where Amazon is cheaper than a store that would pay us more, Amazon gets the button.
There is one thing commission does influence, and it is fair to name it: this site exists at all because affiliate revenue can fund it. Without that there would be no reason to write ninety pages about Tesla floor mats. The firewall is between the money and the recommendations, not between the money and the existence of the site.
The disclosure you see on every page
Every page that carries a buy link shows a short disclosure line above the first one, rather than relying on you having found this page. That is deliberate: the FTC's standard is that a disclosure has to be where the reader will actually see it, before the click, and a link in the footer does not meet it.
