Tesla's owner's manual advises against applying a screen protector to the touchscreen, citing unintended inputs, delayed or unresponsive touch behavior and electrostatic discharge, and says damage caused by installing one is not covered by the vehicle warranty. Read the warranty guide before you spend anything.
With that said, the Highland is the easiest car in this range to buy a protector for. Its 15.4-inch display is shared with the RWD and AWD Model Y Juniper, which means two high-volume cars use the same size and every brand has tooled for it. You get a real choice of finish, several brands with alignment frames, and front-and-rear sets for the 8-inch rear screen the Highland also has.

1. Best overall
REEVAA 15.4-inch matte anti-glare tempered glass
The matte benchmark for this size. 9H glass, an anti-fingerprint coating and an alignment frame that genuinely changes the odds of a clean install. Matte scatters light, so map detail loses a little crispness.
Best for: Highland and Juniper owners who want glare gone, not just scratches prevented
Fits: Model 3 Highland (2024-2026) · Model Y Juniper (2025-2026)
What works
- The alignment frame is the difference between a clean first attempt and a bubbled mess
- Matte finish genuinely reduces the daytime reflections the glossy panel suffers from
- 15.4-inch cut is stated explicitly rather than left to a model-year guess
What does not
- Matte scatters light, so colors and map detail lose a little crispness
- Does not fit the 16-inch Premium or Performance display — a common and expensive mistake
Manufacturer specifications
- 9H tempered glass, matte anti-glare finish with an anti-fingerprint coating
- 15.4-inch cut, listed for 2024-2026 Model 3 Highland and the 15.4-inch Juniper display
- Supplied with an alignment frame

2. Best premium pick
Abstract Ocean ultra-premium 9H tempered glass
A long-established Tesla specialist rather than a marketplace brand, with matte and clear options and front-and-rear sets. Among the most expensive here, and sold direct so delivery is slower.
Best for: Owners who want the best-regarded glass and will pay for it
Fits: Model 3 Highland (2024-2026) · Model Y Juniper (2025-2026)
What works
- A long-established Tesla specialist rather than a marketplace brand, with real support behind the part
- Offering both front and rear pieces matters on cars that have a second-row screen
What does not
- Among the most expensive protectors in this category
- Sold direct, so delivery is slower than a marketplace order
Manufacturer specifications
- 9H tempered glass in matte and clear finishes
- Front and rear screen sets available
- Cut for the refreshed 15.4-inch Model 3 display
Specifications as published by the manufacturer. We have not independently tested this product.

3. Most honest listing
3W 15.4-inch matte tempered glass
Covers the front 15.4-inch and the rear screen, and is one of the only listings in this whole category that names the display it does NOT fit. That disclosure is rarer than it should be and it is what prevents a wasted order.
Best for: Owners who want matte coverage for front and rear screens together
Fits: Model 3 Highland (2024-2026) · Model Y Juniper (2025-2026)
What works
- One of the few listings that names the display it does not fit — exactly the disclosure this category needs
- Front and rear pieces in one purchase
What does not
- Matte costs some sharpness, as it always does
- The explicit 2026 exclusion means you must know your trim, not just your model year
Manufacturer specifications
- Matte coating described by the manufacturer as glare-reducing while retaining HD clarity
- Covers the front 15.4-inch display and the rear screen
- Listing explicitly states it does NOT fit the 2026 Model Y Juniper 16-inch display
Specifications as published by the manufacturer. We have not independently tested this product.

4. Best choice of finish
TPARTS tempered glass (glossy or matte)
The same Highland-specific part in both glossy and matte, so the decision is purely glare against sharpness. No alignment frame, so first placement matters more.
Best for: Highland owners who want to choose the finish themselves
Fits: Model 3 Highland (2024-2026)
What works
- Same fit in both finishes, so the decision is purely about glare versus sharpness
- Highland-specific rather than a shared Model 3 part
What does not
- No alignment frame, so a careful first placement matters more
- Less independent reporting than the better-known brands
Manufacturer specifications
- Available in glossy and matte for the same part
- Cut for the 2024-2026 Model 3 Highland display
- Tempered glass construction
Specifications as published by the manufacturer. We have not independently tested this product.

5. Best for clarity
SUMK 15.4-inch HD screen protector
HD clear rather than matte, keeping the display looking like the factory panel. It does nothing about the reflections that drive most people to buy a protector, and shows fingerprints more.
Best for: Owners who want maximum image clarity rather than matte
Fits: Model 3 Highland (2024-2026) · Model Y Juniper (2025-2026)
What works
- Keeps the display looking like the factory panel — no matte haze over the map
- Also sells a 16-inch variant, so one brand covers both Juniper displays
What does not
- Clear glass does nothing about the reflections that drive most people to buy a protector
- Fingerprints show more than on a matte surface
Manufacturer specifications
- HD clear finish rather than matte
- 15.4-inch cut for the 2024-2026 Model 3 and 2025 Model Y
- Anti-scratch coating
Specifications as published by the manufacturer. We have not independently tested this product.

The rear screen is the one that gets touched
If you carry passengers in the back, the 8-inch rear screen sees more fingers and more careless contact than the front display ever will — it is at child height and it controls the entertainment. Several sets include a rear piece for a small premium and it is the better-justified half of the purchase. See Juniper rear screen protectors, which covers the same part.
Alignment frames are worth paying for
A 15.4-inch sheet of tempered glass is large, and getting it square on the first attempt without a guide is genuinely difficult. An alignment frame holds the glass in position until the adhesive grips, removing most of the risk. If two products are otherwise similar and one includes a frame, buy that one.
Then follow installing without bubbles, which covers the dust problem that causes most failed installs.
Questions people actually ask
What size is the Model 3 Highland screen?
15.4 inches for the center display, plus an 8-inch rear screen for second-row passengers.
Matte or glossy for a Highland?
Matte if reflections bother you, glossy if you want the display to look untouched. Matte costs a little sharpness in map detail. See [matte vs glossy](/screen-protectors/matte-vs-glossy).
Will a Highland protector fit a 15.4-inch Model Y Juniper?
Often yes, because the display size is the same — but only where the listing says so. Several products name both cars explicitly. Do not assume.
Do I need one at all?
Probably not for scratch protection: it is a vertical display nobody leans on. For glare, a matte protector genuinely helps. Weigh that against Tesla's own guidance. See [do you need a Tesla screen protector](/guides/do-you-need-a-tesla-screen-protector).
