The Highland refresh rebuilt the Model 3's interior: stalkless steering, a redesigned console with a sliding lid, ambient lighting around the cabin, an 8-inch rear screen the earlier car never had, and a 15.4-inch center display. Pre-Highland parts do not fit, and the model year is not a reliable guide because changeover timing varied.

1. Buy first
JOWUA windshield sunshade
Cut to shape, claimed 99% UV block, cheapest meaningful accessory for the car. On a Model 3, where the roof glass area is smaller than a Model Y's, this matters even more relative to a roof shade. Parked use only.
Best for: Anyone who parks outside — the highest-value shade you can buy
Fits: Model Y Juniper (2025-2026) · Model Y L (2026+, six-seat) · Model Y (2020-2024) · Model 3 Highland (2024-2026) · Model 3 (2017-2023)
What works
- Solves the actual parked-heat problem — the windshield is the biggest single heat aperture in the car
- Far cheaper than a roof shade and takes fifteen seconds to deploy
- Cut to shape, so there is no gap at the corners where a universal shade leaves one
What does not
- Only works while parked, unlike a roof shade which works while driving
- Has to be stowed somewhere when you drive off
Manufacturer specifications
- Black mesh fabric with a silver anti-light coating
- Manufacturer claims up to 99% UV blocking
- Cut to the specific windshield shape; listed for Juniper and Model Y L
Specifications as published by the manufacturer. We have not independently tested this product.

2. Buy second
BASENOR 4-piece center console organizer set
The Highland console is shared tooling with the Juniper, so this four-piece TPU set covers it, and it won on fitment in a comparison of eight sets. Four pieces, four edges to fit; soft TPU marks more easily.
Best for: Juniper and Highland owners reorganizing the whole console in one go
Fits: Model Y Juniper (2025-2026) · Model 3 Highland (2024-2026)
What works
- TPU absorbs vibration where rigid ABS transmits it, which is the single biggest cause of console rattle
- The hidden armrest compartment is the piece that actually changes how you use the car day to day
- One set covers every surface in the console instead of leaving gaps between parts
What does not
- Four pieces means four opportunities for a slightly loose edge
- Soft TPU picks up marks more readily than a hard plastic tray
Manufacturer specifications
- Four pieces: console tray, armrest storage box, armrest hidden storage and a cup-holder insert mat
- TPU rather than ABS
- Listed for the 2025-2026 Model Y Juniper and 2024-2026 Model 3 Highland
Specifications as published by the manufacturer. We have not independently tested this product.

3. If you want a screen protector
REEVAA 15.4-inch matte anti-glare tempered glass
The 15.4-inch matte benchmark with an alignment frame. Read Tesla's own warning about touchscreen protectors first — the manual advises against fitting one and excludes resulting damage from warranty. Matte costs some map sharpness.
Best for: Highland and Juniper owners who want glare gone, not just scratches prevented
Fits: Model 3 Highland (2024-2026) · Model Y Juniper (2025-2026)
What works
- The alignment frame is the difference between a clean first attempt and a bubbled mess
- Matte finish genuinely reduces the daytime reflections the glossy panel suffers from
- 15.4-inch cut is stated explicitly rather than left to a model-year guess
What does not
- Matte scatters light, so colors and map detail lose a little crispness
- Does not fit the 16-inch Premium or Performance display — a common and expensive mistake
Manufacturer specifications
- 9H tempered glass, matte anti-glare finish with an anti-fingerprint coating
- 15.4-inch cut, listed for 2024-2026 Model 3 Highland and the 15.4-inch Juniper display
- Supplied with an alignment frame
Specifications as published by the manufacturer. We have not independently tested this product.

Every category, for this car
The one genuine fitment bonus on this car
The Highland console and the Model Y Juniper console are close enough that most brands tool one part for both, so Highland owners can buy from the much larger pool of Juniper console parts with confidence. That is the opposite of the usual situation on this site and it is worth exploiting — see Highland vs Juniper console fitment.
It does not extend any further than the console. Floor mats, cargo parts, roof shades and sills are all Model 3 shapes and a Model Y part will not do.
Specifications for this generation
| Item | Highland |
|---|---|
| Center display | 15.4 in |
| Rear screen | 8 in, standard |
| Console | Shared architecture with the Model Y Juniper |
| Steering column | Stalkless — the fastest way to identify the car |
| Frunk | Shallow; a Model Y organizer will not let the hood close |
| Trunk | Sedan boot with a small aperture and a deep sub-floor well |
Where to spend first
Windshield shade, console set, floor liners — in that order. Skip the roof shade unless overhead sun genuinely bothers you, because the Model 3's roof glass area is smaller than a Model Y's and the shade delivers proportionally less. The full order is in Highland first accessories.
Questions people actually ask
How do I know if I have a Highland?
No indicator stalk on the steering column. The 8-inch rear screen and the ambient light strip around the cabin are the other checks.
Will pre-Highland accessories fit?
Not the shaped ones. Floor mats, console parts, roof shades and sills all changed. Soft, shape-agnostic items transfer.
Can I use Model Y Juniper parts?
For the console, generally yes — the tooling is shared. For everything else, no.
What size is the Highland screen?
15.4 inches for the center display, plus an 8-inch rear screen.
