Best Console Organizer for the Model 3 Highland

The Highland console is shared tooling with the Juniper, which is good news: this is the best-served console in the range.

The Highland refresh rebuilt the Model 3's console around a sliding lid, a revised armrest and a new wireless charging layout. That was a bigger change than it looked, and it means pre-Highland parts do not fit. The compensation is that the Highland console and the Juniper console are close enough that most brands tool one part for both, so this is the best-supplied console in the whole range.

The material point applies here as everywhere: TPU over ABS if rattle matters to you. One retailer's comparison across eight sets for this console found TPU consistently quieter, and on a Highland — which has less sound-deadening mass than a Model Y and a noticeably quiet cabin — console rattle is more audible than it would be elsewhere.

The same four-piece TPU set that wins on the Juniper, listed for the Highland too. Quiet, complete, no adhesive, and in comparative testing of eight sets it won on fitment with the tightest gap. Soft TPU marks more readily than hard plastic.

Best for: Juniper and Highland owners reorganizing the whole console in one go

Fits: Model Y Juniper (2025-2026) · Model 3 Highland (2024-2026)

What works

  • TPU absorbs vibration where rigid ABS transmits it, which is the single biggest cause of console rattle
  • The hidden armrest compartment is the piece that actually changes how you use the car day to day
  • One set covers every surface in the console instead of leaving gaps between parts

What does not

  • Four pieces means four opportunities for a slightly loose edge
  • Soft TPU picks up marks more readily than a hard plastic tray

Manufacturer specifications

  • Four pieces: console tray, armrest storage box, armrest hidden storage and a cup-holder insert mat
  • TPU rather than ABS
  • Listed for the 2025-2026 Model Y Juniper and 2024-2026 Model 3 Highland

The Highland's armrest bin is deep and unstructured, and splitting it is the change you actually notice. The lower layer is deliberately awkward to reach while driving.

Best for: Keeping small valuables out of sight

What works

  • The armrest bin is deep and otherwise unstructured — splitting it is the highest-impact change you can make
  • The lower layer genuinely is out of sight when the lid is open

What does not

  • Items in the lower layer are awkward to reach while driving, by design
  • Only fits the refreshed armrest geometry

Manufacturer specifications

  • Sits inside the armrest bin and divides it into an upper tray and a concealed lower layer
  • TPU construction
  • Part of the four-piece Juniper and Highland set

The Highland kept Tesla's wide cup wells, so narrow cups still rattle. Cheapest fix on the page. It reduces the maximum cup diameter.

Best for: Stopping cups from rattling and tipping

What works

  • Tesla's cup wells are wide, and a narrow cup rattles in them constantly — this is the direct fix
  • Cheapest single accessory on this site that you will notice every day

What does not

  • Reduces the maximum cup diameter the well can take
  • Needs lifting out to clean properly after a spill

Three pieces for about the price of one, and the charger mat is the sleeper — it keeps a phone on the pad under braking. The cup piece is a mat rather than a molded insert.

Best for: Owners who want the cup holders, bezel and charging pad sorted at once

Fits: Model Y Juniper (2025-2026) · Model 3 Highland (2024-2026) · Model Y (2020-2024) · Model 3 (2017-2023)

Overall8.4/ 10 — our editorial score, not a lab test

What works

  • Addresses three different annoyances for roughly the price of one accessory
  • The charger mat stops a phone sliding off the pad under braking, which is a real and common irritation

What does not

  • Three pieces chosen by the manufacturer, not by you — you may only want one
  • Cup-holder insert is a mat rather than a structural insert, so it steadies cups less than a molded one

Manufacturer specifications

  • Cup-holder insert, screen edge protector frame and wireless-charger mat
  • Listed as compatible with the 2026 Model Y Juniper
  • Three separate pieces, no adhesive

The sliding console lid

The Highland's lid slides rather than hinging, which changes what fits. A tray that stands proud of the console rim will foul the lid as it travels. Every part listed for the Highland accounts for this, but a part listed only for a Model Y may not — one more reason to buy from a Highland-named listing rather than a shared one.

Highland or Juniper part?

Where a brand lists one part for both, it genuinely fits both. Where a brand lists them separately, buy yours. The differences are small but they are at the edges, which is exactly where an organizer either sits flush or clicks. Highland vs Juniper console fitment sets out what is actually shared.

Questions people actually ask

Will a pre-Highland console organizer fit a 2024 Model 3?

No. The Highland console was redesigned, including the lid mechanism and the armrest. Buy a Highland-specific part.

Are Highland and Juniper console parts interchangeable?

Often, and many brands list one part for both. Where they are listed separately, buy the one named for your car.

Does an organizer interfere with the sliding lid?

A part designed for the Highland will not. A tray that stands proud of the console rim can foul the lid, which is a risk if you fit a Model Y part.

Which piece should I buy first?

The armrest insert with a concealed lower layer. It is the piece that changes how you use the car.
