Model 3 Highland vs Model Y Juniper: Console Fitment

Two different cars, one console architecture. This is the rare case where a shared listing is telling the truth.

Most of this site exists to tell you that parts are not interchangeable. This page is the exception. Tesla's two refreshed cars — the Model 3 Highland and the Model Y Juniper — were designed close enough together that the center console architecture is effectively shared, and most brands list one console part for both. That is not marketing laziness; it is accurate.

What is shared

  • The armrest bin geometry, which is why one four-piece set covers both cars.
  • The front cup-holder wells.
  • The under-screen shelf below the display.
  • The wireless charging pad layout and the sliding lid arrangement.

The console is shared. Nothing else on these two cars is, which is why a shared console listing is fine and a shared floor-mat listing is not.

What this means for buying

  1. A console part listed for both cars is genuinely fine. Buy it.
  2. A screen protector listed for both cars needs a size check, because the Juniper has two display sizes and the Highland has one. See screen sizes by generation.
  3. A floor mat, cargo liner, roof shade or frunk organizer listed for both cars is wrong. Those are completely different shapes.
  4. A seat-back or sill part listed for both needs checking, because the door apertures and seat dimensions differ.

Why this is useful to know

It widens your options. A Highland owner can buy from the much larger pool of Juniper console parts, and a Juniper owner can buy a part developed for the Highland. In a category where the biggest risk is a part that does not fit, having twice the selection with the same confidence is a genuine advantage — and it is the reason the console is the best-served category in this whole range.

The sets that genuinely claim both cars

Dual-fit claims are common in this category and worth checking rather than trusting. These two publish the claim explicitly.

1. Best dual-fit set

BASENOR 4-piece center console organizer set

BASENOR

Sold specifically for both the Highland and the Juniper, which is the honest version of a dual-fit claim rather than a listing that just omits the year. Four pieces covering the tray, the bin and the cup-holder area.

Best for: Juniper and Highland owners reorganizing the whole console in one go

Fits: Model Y Juniper (2025-2026) · Model 3 Highland (2024-2026)

What works

  • TPU absorbs vibration where rigid ABS transmits it, which is the single biggest cause of console rattle
  • The hidden armrest compartment is the piece that actually changes how you use the car day to day
  • One set covers every surface in the console instead of leaving gaps between parts

What does not

  • Four pieces means four opportunities for a slightly loose edge
  • Soft TPU picks up marks more readily than a hard plastic tray

Manufacturer specifications

  • Four pieces: console tray, armrest storage box, armrest hidden storage and a cup-holder insert mat
  • TPU rather than ABS
  • Listed for the 2025-2026 Model Y Juniper and 2024-2026 Model 3 Highland

2. Best value dual-fit

TOPABYTE 3-piece console accessory set

TOPABYTE

Three pieces for noticeably less. The molding is less precise at the edges, which in a console shows as a small amount of lateral movement rather than a fit problem.

Best for: Owners who want the cup holders, bezel and charging pad sorted at once

Fits: Model Y Juniper (2025-2026) · Model 3 Highland (2024-2026) · Model Y (2020-2024) · Model 3 (2017-2023)

Overall8.4/ 10 — our editorial score, not a lab test

What works

  • Addresses three different annoyances for roughly the price of one accessory
  • The charger mat stops a phone sliding off the pad under braking, which is a real and common irritation

What does not

  • Three pieces chosen by the manufacturer, not by you — you may only want one
  • Cup-holder insert is a mat rather than a structural insert, so it steadies cups less than a molded one

Manufacturer specifications

  • Cup-holder insert, screen edge protector frame and wireless-charger mat
  • Listed as compatible with the 2026 Model Y Juniper
  • Three separate pieces, no adhesive

Questions people actually ask

Are Highland and Juniper console parts the same?

The console architecture is shared, and most brands list one part for both. Where a brand lists them separately, buy the one named for your car.

Can I use a Juniper console tray in a Highland?

Generally yes, if the listing names both. The armrest bin and under-screen shelf are the same shapes.

Does this apply to floor mats?

No, absolutely not. The footwells are different shapes. A mat listed for both cars is a mat to avoid.

What about the rear cup holders?

Those differ — Model 3 and Model Y rear armrests are not the same. Front console parts are the shared ones.
