Best Frunk Organizers for the Model Y

Rigid boxes give you compartments and rattle. Padded dividers are silent and contain less. Pick which you can live with first.

Open front trunk of a car with bags packed inside

A Model Y frunk is deep, smooth-sided and completely undivided, which means anything loose ends up in the bottom corner under everything else. An organizer fixes that. The question is which kind, and the answer is governed by a trade-off nobody selling these mentions.

Fitment matters too, and more than people expect. The Juniper frunk is deeper than the 2020-2024 car's, so a legacy organizer sits low in a Juniper tub and a Juniper organizer may stop the hood closing on a legacy car. Juniper vs 2020-2024 frunk fit covers exactly what changed.

1. Best overall

Yeslak front trunk organizer (Juniper)

Yeslak

Clips into the Juniper tub rather than sitting loose, with rigid walls that keep a charging cable from collapsing into the rest of the space, and a waterproof polypropylene shell. Fixed sections mean you cannot carry one large awkward item, and rigid plastic can knock against the tub when the frunk is nearly empty.

Best for: Juniper owners who want the frunk split into fixed sections

Fits: Model Y Juniper (2025-2026)

Rigidity9.0

Value8.5
Overall8.7/ 10 — our editorial score, not a lab test

What works

  • Clips in, so it does not slide around an empty frunk the way a loose bag does
  • Rigid walls keep a charging cable from collapsing into the rest of the space
  • Juniper-specific: the refreshed frunk is deeper and a legacy organizer does not match it

What does not

  • Fixed sections mean you cannot carry one large awkward item
  • Rigid plastic can knock audibly against the tub when the frunk is nearly empty

Manufacturer specifications

  • Polypropylene construction, described by the manufacturer as waterproof
  • Three-section layout that clips into the frunk tub
  • Listed specifically for the 2026 Juniper frunk

2. Quietest option

Spigen frunk divider

Spigen

A divider with silicone padding at the contact points rather than a full box, so it is the one to buy if your last organizer rattled and you gave up on it. It keeps the frunk's full depth available, and contains less — small items still migrate.

Best for: Owners who want structure without noise

Fits: Model Y (2020-2024) · Model Y Juniper (2025-2026)

Fit8.5
Capacity9.0
Rigidity7.5
Access9.5
Value8.5
Overall8.6/ 10 — our editorial score, not a lab test

What works

  • The silicone padding is the reason this is the quiet option — rigid boxes are the ones that rattle
  • A divider keeps the frunk's full depth available instead of boxing it in
  • Easy to lift out when you need the whole space

What does not

  • Less containment than a full organizer — small items still migrate
  • Two sections only, so no dedicated slot for small tools

Manufacturer specifications

  • Divider rather than a full box, with silicone padding at the contact points
  • Designed to split the frunk into two usable halves
  • From an established accessory brand

3. Most useful compartments

Teslarati frunk organizer box

Teslarati

An ABS box with sections sized around what people actually keep in a frunk — inflator, cleaning kit, charging adapters, emergency gear — and it is watertight enough to double as an ice bucket. Rigid ABS is the noisiest construction here when it is not full.

Best for: Owners who want compartments and an ice-bucket second use

Fits: Model Y (2020-2024) · Model Y Juniper (2025-2026)

Fit8.5
Capacity9.0
Rigidity9.0
Access8.0
Value8.5
Overall8.6/ 10 — our editorial score, not a lab test

What works

  • The compartment sizing is clearly designed around what people actually keep in a frunk
  • Being watertight makes it genuinely dual-purpose for a tailgate or a beach day

What does not

  • Rigid ABS is the noisiest construction in this group when it is not full
  • A full box permanently claims the frunk's depth, unlike a divider

Manufacturer specifications

  • Rigid ABS box with internal compartments
  • Compartments sized for a tire inflator, cleaning kit, charging adapters and emergency gear
  • Doubles as an ice bucket because it is watertight

4. Budget pick

Tempsnow frunk organizer

Tempsnow

The cheapest way to stop the frunk being one undifferentiated hole, and light enough to lift out single-handed. Thinner ABS flexes under weight and is the most rattle-prone option on this page.

  • Thinner ABS flexes under weight and is the most rattle-prone option here

5. Best for groceries

Insulated frunk cooler bag

TAPTES

An insulated bag sized to the tub, used alongside a molded organizer rather than instead of one. Soft insulation means an hour or two of cold, not a day, and it takes most of the frunk while it is in there.

Best for: Groceries and tailgates, in the frunk rather than the cabin

Fits: Model Y (2020-2024) · Model Y Juniper (2025-2026) · Model 3 Highland (2024-2026) · Model 3 (2017-2023)

Fit8.0
Capacity8.0
Rigidity6.5
Access9.5
Value8.5
Overall8.1/ 10 — our editorial score, not a lab test

What works

  • The frunk is the one compartment in the car with no cabin-air connection, so it is the right place for cold food
  • A bag conforms to the tub where a rigid cooler fights it
  • Lifts straight out to carry

What does not

  • Insulation in a soft bag is modest — this is an hour or two of cold, not a day
  • Takes most of the frunk, so it is not something you leave in permanently

Manufacturer specifications

  • Insulated foam-lined bag sized to sit inside the frunk tub
  • Used alongside a molded organizer rather than instead of one
  • Zip closure

Specifications as published by the manufacturer. We have not independently tested this product.

What to keep in the frunk

  • The mobile charging cable and adapters. This is what the frunk is for.
  • A tire inflator and a basic emergency kit.
  • Cleaning supplies — a bottle, a microfibre, a bag.
  • Cold food, in an insulated bag. The frunk has no cabin-air connection, which makes it the best compartment in the car for it.
  • Not: anything you need while driving, and nothing you would mind forgetting about for a month.

When a divider beats a box

If the frunk is usually nearly empty — a cable and an inflator — a box is mostly air that rattles. A divider keeps those two things apart and stays quiet. A box earns its place when the frunk is genuinely full most of the time, because a full box does not rattle.

That is the honest test: how full is your frunk usually? Answer that and the decision makes itself. Rigid bins vs soft bags goes further into it.

Questions people actually ask

Is a frunk organizer worth it?

If you keep a cable, an inflator and a cleaning kit in there, yes — without structure they tangle. If you use the frunk for occasional overflow, a divider or a soft bag is a better buy than a molded box.

Will a 2023 frunk organizer fit a Juniper?

Probably not well. The Juniper tub is deeper and shaped differently. Buy a generation-specific part.

Why does my frunk organizer rattle?

Because it is rigid and the frunk is not full. Either keep it loaded, add padding at the contact points, or swap to a padded divider.

Can an organizer stop the hood closing?

Yes, if it is too tall for the tub — which is exactly what happens when you fit a legacy part in a shallower tub or a Model Y part in a Model 3. You will notice immediately.
